Dav-Lyn Twinkle Toes 'E'

21-1/4"   AGS 90.0 Excellent at 9 years of age!
Sire: MCH Willows White Light'n 'E'
Dam: Dav-Lyn Abigale

4 x GCH, 2 x RsCH

What an awesome old doe! Twinkle Toes was shown very rarely for most of her life, and now at 9 years of age is proving she still has what it takes! As obvious in this picture taken in May 2001, her rear udder is still held up high and tight, with near perfect udder floor and teat placement. AGS Classifier and judge Sandi Liska commented that she had about the best feet and legs she'd ever seen on a Nigerian Dwarf of any age!

Sadly, Twinkle Toes died last year before being able to finish her MCH.
Owned by Elaine Wynn of Little Rascals Farm.

Mariri - rear udder

Goodwood Zippy Mariri 3*D
DOB: 04/13/89   21-1/4"   HES 89.15    AGS 86.4 at 11 years old - a perfect score on rear legs!
Sire: Goodwood Zeppo +S

Dam: Goodwood Swahili 2*D

(Goodwood King Sunny Ade' x Willows So Forth *D)

1 x GCH, 2 x RsCH
Mariri was one of my very first does, and she was very special. Being of foundation type, she wasn't as refined as many modern dwarfs, but was extremely long, level, wide and correct, with incredibly wide, flat open ribbing.  She  more than proved her worth as a brood doe, being in the pedigrees of many outstanding individuals, including at least 4 daughters who have earned their milking stars.  She is the granddam of at least two finished champions, MCH Goodwood Fox and 2-time National Champion Buck ARMCH Goodwood Tom Thumb+*S. Her daughter Twin Creeks BH Zinnia 4 *D  is our first home-bred AGS Master Champion and was the 2002 National Champion, and her last daughter, Grande Finale, just earned her MCH as a 2nd freshener.
Mariri passed away on September 29, 2000, one day after delivering her final beautiful doe kid, aptly named "Grand Finale". She will live on in my heart and through her sons and daughters.

Purple is a paternal half-sister to our great doe, MCH Raha Acres Twink's Pixie, and was a perfectly lovely doe in her own right.  She showed well and proved to be a very valuable brooddoe. (See her daughters MCH Goodwood Good Day Sunshine and Twin Creeks Yuletidetreasure *D.)  She won her first official milking leg over about 2 dozen other milkers at the age of 6, after taking home numerous blue ribbons over the years. Purple had excellent dairy character, with near perfect dairy skin and ribs, and her udder had a broad area of attachment that was still tightly held up at 7 years of age.
Purple died of kidding complications in October 1999.

Grand Champion Senior Doe and Best Udder - AGS 2001 National Show!

Suncatcher comes from one of my favorite maternal bloodlines, and is a lovely example of why I value this line.  She is very dairy, with a beautiful head, thin skin, flat ribbing, and an outstanding escutcheon and rear leg set. We would like to see more length of body and levelness of topline, especially over the rump.

As a 4th freshener she has fantastic capacity while retaining her near-perfect teat placement and wide and smooth attachment all around. This exquisite mammary system earned her Best Udder at the 2001 AGS National Show!

Sadly, we lost Suncatcher the fall of 2004. She was looking better than ever and carrying triplets but was a little "off" for a day or two and then died as if in her sleep.  I suspect ketosis - I just didn't realize the seriousness of her condition until it was too late. This was a tremendous loss as she was our best Good Day Sunshine daughter to date.

Treasure was my first Brave Heart daughter and she has delighted me in every way. She has outstanding general appearance and a very capacious mammary system with plumb, easily-milked teats. On a one-day milk test as a 18" tall first-freshener, she produced 3.6 pounds of 5% butterfat milk, easily earning her star.  She got a late start to her show career, but shows consistently well, although she is often the bridesmaid rather than the bride!

In late 2004, Treasure finally succumbed to the aggressive cancer she has been battling for the last year. We didn't want her to suffer any longer so had her humanely euthanized a few weeks after kidding. She will be badly missed.

Sire: MCH Twin Creeks BH Bay Watch *S 'E'
(Twin Creeks Brave Heart +S x MCH Piddlin Acres Tiny Bubbles *D 'E')
Dam: Dav-Lyn Jackpot *D
(Mtn Retreat's Clear Cut x Willow Creek Honeycomb G+)

Morning Lark is a powerhouse,  being wide, long, very deep-bodied and having good feet and legs, while showing excellent dairy character in her angularity throughout and pliable dairy skin. She has a beautifully-shaped, capacious  udder with good division and plumb milkable teats. On a one-day milk test as a first-freshener she earned her star with 3.5 pounds of 5.3% butterfat milk.

She has passed on the strengths of her strong general appearance and mammary system - see her daughters Hummingbird and MCH Meadowlark, and granddaughter MCH/GCH Rockin' Robin.

1 x GCH Junior, 1 x RsCH Senior, 2 x GCH Senior, 1 x Best Udder in Show

Betty is a gorgeous long, tall elegant doe, with near ideal general appearance and dairy character.  She comes from a background that excels in mammary system and milk production. Betty has a very capacious udder, although we would like to see tighter attachment and better teat placement.  On a one-day test she milked 4.4 pounds of 4.66% BF milk, easily earning her star.  Her son Aragorn, sired by MCH Bay Watch,  is a finished champion and has been twice AGS Reserve National Champion Buck !

Far-n-Best Little Darlin'
DOB: 11/29/94    21 1/8"   AGS Classification 88.4 VG
Sire: Majyk Hill Star Shine
(Willows by George x Majyk Hill Farm Star)
Dam: Far-n-Best Ace of Spades
(Far-n-Best Flag x Far-n-Best Flopsy)

(Picture taken at 7 years old - not fully uddered up.)

Although not a show doe herself, Darlin more than proved her worth as a brood doe through her daughters and granddaughters. Darlin exceled in dairy and breed character, with a lovely head set on a long, slim neck, tight shoulders and sharp withers, very flat, wide-spaced ribs, thin skin and a very deep barrel. She passed on these characteristics, along with her lovely mammary system, to many of her daughters and granddaughters. See her beautiful daughter in our herd: MCH Clementine, and her granddaughter MCH Mithril Silver. Another granddaughter, MCH Stellaluna, is owned by Joanne Karohl in Mass and is an exceptional milker.

At 12 years old we have retired Darlin' from the kidding pen and will continue to enjoy her progeny in the herd.

Dam:Piddlin'Acres Shamrock

3 x GCH Senior Doe, 3 x Best Udder

Bubbles is a compact, powerful doe with a lovely udder that is capacious and beautifully-shaped with a broad area of attachment and a well-extended foreudder.

Her influence is most strongly felt in our herd through her son, MCH Bay Watch ++*S, who has produced multiple Master Champions and star milkers to date. She also has several daughters in other herds who have earned junior and milking legs, including a MCH/GCH daughter, MCH Twin Creeks MB Effervescent 2*D owned by Pecan Hollow Farm.

ADGA Linear Appraisal 2009: +EVV FS86 (Very Good)

Katie was a very promising kid but sadly broke a front leg quite badly when she was 4 months old, resulting in permanently lameness. She will never be sound enough to be shown, but I expect her to make a very valuable contribution through her genetics.  Her mammary system is very snugly attached, with lots of width and an especially wide and smooth foreudder.
