x GCH Jr, 4 x RsCH Senior, 3 x GCH Senior, 3 x Best Udder in Show
ADGA
Show Record: 3 x GCH Senior Doe, 2 x Best Udder of Breed, 1 x Best Doe in
Show at 10 years old!
Dahlia is a stylish and very
dairy doe with an exceptional mammary system, and finished her
AGS championship in her first show season with us in
some very stiff competition. She handily finished her ADGA
championship by going grand under both judges at the Fort Worth Stock Show
in January 2008, as a 9 year old.
Her
udder remains very capacious, high and wide with the
same smooth attachment and smooth foreudder that she had as a young doe.
Her feet and legs as well would be impressive on a much younger
animal.
As
a 4th freshening 5-year old she produced 4.3 pounds of 4.48% BF milk on a one-day
test, easily earning her AGS star, and in November 2007, as a 9 year old,
she did 3.6 pounds of 6.4% BF milk, earning her ADGA star as
well.
In
spring of 2009, at 10- 1/2 years of age, Dahlia was linear appraised
for the first time and scored a 92!
In April of 2010 at 11-1/2 years old she produced a
lovely litter of quad bucks, including Edge
of Night who is staying here as a herdsire.
Dahlia illustrates the longevity and productivity we strive for in a dairy
animal.
In
2010 Dahlia earned a Superior Genetics award through ADGA. This means she
was in the top 15% PTI ranking for her breed based on USDA genetic
evaluations.
Dahlia
has produced some nice daughters including our own MCH/GCH
Obsidian
Bay and a full sister to Obsidian, Nor'easter,
in the Dragonfly herd. Both of these does have linear appraised
Excellent.
